I have been a stylist for 30 years.  My specialty is color.  There is nothing better than helping
someone feel good about themselves, and this profession affords me that opportunity.

I use Scruples Hair Color.  The Blazing Highlights and Blazing Lowlights systems produce
wonderful results.  I also like the Scruples Hair Care products.  I want my clients to have
good hair care at home as well as in the salon.

A self-confessed education junkie! Alex became and educator so he could gain knowledge in advanced cutting, coloring & styling techniques. For nearly 10 years, Anthony Basinger has immersed himself in the art and science of superior hair care. Prior to opening his own salon in late 2009, Anthony was a top stylist at Festoon Salon in San Francisco and Berkeley, where he became known for his personal attention and belief in creating hairstyles that fit with clients’ lifestyles.

Constantly active in expanding his professional knoweldge, he has traveled around the world to participate in workshops and classes by Vidal Sassoon, L’Oréal, Bumble and Bumble, and the Alexandre de Paris Academie in France. In 2008, he was awarded a trip to attend the L’Oréal World Tour in Paris. He has also taught haircutting to emerging stylists as an instructor in Festoon’s apprentice training program.

ARLENE RIVERA, OWNER AND STYLIST:
She has 20+ years experience in all hair types. A Salon Owner in Puerto Rico for 15 years, she earned the title of Matrix Master Colorist and educator. Former cosmetology instructor she has traveled the United States Teaching and learning the newest techniques and styles.  Most recently she worked as the Salon Manager at Jcpennys in Fort Collins vigorously working to better the community.

I have been a professional stylist in the Boulder area for 28 years, and was the owner of Linde Salon in Boulder for 7 years. I am very excited about becoming part of the Sola Salon family. I am intrigued with their guiding concept, which is that the very best have their own salon. I couldn’t agree more, and this is why I have chosen to be affiliated with Sola Salons.

I am a member of Wella Colors of the World Circle of Professional Colorists. I use Wella professional color and am currently involved with Wella’s Colors of the World Trends and Color Classes. Color is one of my passions as a stylist, and I especially love giving my clients beautiful hair color. I continuously educate myself through classes, seminars, etc. in all of the latest techniques and trends in hair cutting, styling and color.
