Claire Elise Broderick is truly a home grown talent. Born and raised in Ann Arbor she keeps a firm finger on the pulse of the metro area. From making wigs and styling hair for Detroit's own Theatre Bizarre and the U of M's theater department, to being the brainchild of Cafe Racer's 2010 Pinup Calendar and Orbit Hair Design's booth for the Full Moon Festival, in which she is also a part of its creative board. After her schooling she cut her teeth as a hair designer at Orbit Hair Design, where she was a vital member of the team for over thirteen years, as well as learning from the likes of Ruth Roche, J of Beverly Hills just to name a few. Over the years her passion for hair fashion has only grown stronger and is forever evolving. From cuts to color to curls and everything in between, Claire's artistic vision has only grown stronger through the years. Not unlike a rainbow she will bring colors into your world. Whether it be red, green or blue, no color is too taboo. Short, long, coarse, fine, curly or straight, she has a fix that fits. Her work has been featured on the pages of Seventeen and Shei magazines as well as framing many smiling faces of the people from the Metro area. It is her desire to help you look and feel your best by bringing your personal vision to light that makes her stand out from the pack. You can now find Claire working her magic in her own unique space, Sprig Hair Studio 21, in Ann Arbor, at The Lofts at Arbor Hills on Washtenaw Avenue.
I've been getting my hair cut by Claire for a few years now and have nary a complaint. Claire is great, I always look forward to getting to sit and chat with her as she snips away, and she definitely knows what she's doing. I like that I can either come in with a very specific idea in mind or just a general concept and let her be creative with it, and either way I'm always satisfied with the results.
Claire is the best and I lived in NYC for 25 years. I really liked having a unique style and was disappointed when I moved here, I couldn't find anyone who wasn't meh.
Claire listened to me and got my style and designed something that is unique and gains me compliments wherever I go. She's a brilliant colorist. If you are going to another stylist, you're missing out.
I've been going to Claire for almost 10 years and have never been disappointed! Whether it's a basic cut, or a more complicated coloring, she has a great sense of what will work for me and my hair. It's a huge relief to be able to completely trust a stylist and always be satisfied with the outcome. Plus, she's really a fun and interesting person and a great conversationalist! Sprig Hair Studio is a very cute space in the Arbor Hills shopping center with convenient (and free) parking. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
