About Criselda Cox
Here is some basic info about microblading. Before setting your appointment, please read below. When you are ready to book your microblading appointment, use the booking link above. A debit/credit card is required to book appointment- you will not be charged. In the event of a no-show or cancellation within 48 hr or less, a 20% fee may be applied. Feel free to contact me with any and all questions you may have! Microblading is a form of permanent makeup. You must be 18 years or older to receive microblading. This procedure is done with a single-use disposable microblade, manually, stroke by stroke. This method is not done using an electric machine. After numbing, the pigment is placed in the epidermis, closer to the surface of the skin. After 18 months much pigment will fade naturally as new skin regenerates. Microblading can last 1-3 years before needing touchup depending on skin type and lifestyle. Oilier skin types tend to fade faster and are more prone to pigment fall-out. You will need 2 sessions to complete your new brows, 6-8 weeks apart to allow full healing before followup procedure. During this session, we will replace any strokes that may have fallen out during healing, and build density as needed. During your consultation, we will discuss your brow preferences, measure your face, and draw an outline until you are satisfied to start the service. You may wear your normal brow makeup if you prefer, to show me how you typically wear your brows. Inspiration photos are always welcome, too. Keep in mind that my best interest is to suit your face shape and compliment your facial structure while still meeting your personal preferences! Things to know before booking: For your comfort, I apply a topical numbing cream before the procedure (5% lidocaine) for 25-30 minutes. After the first few strokes are placed, I apply a secondary numbing gel ( 5% lidocaine, 2% tetracaine, and 0.02% epinephrine) to ensure your absolute comfort! If you have had an allergic reaction to an anaesthetic before, you may still receive the service without numbing. If you are unsure, a patch test can be administered at no charge before booking your appointment. Book online as “patch test!” There are a few contra indications that will require a doctors note for clearance in order to receive the service. These include clients with diabetes, heart problems, anemia, epilepsy, or cancer/chemotherapy within the last 6 months. I will not perform service on pregnant or breastfeeding clients. If you have been prescribed Accutane, you must be off of the medication for at least 1 year. If you were taking Accutane for over a year, you must be off of the medication for at least as long as you were taking it. Due to skin sensitivity, microblading cannot be performed if you have used Retain-A in the last 2 weeks. Microblading cannot be performed if you have had a chemical or laser peel in the last 6 weeks. Microblading may not be suitable for individuals with keloid scarring, depending on severity. A scratch-test is advised to avoid scarring from this service. Please avoid blood thinning medication atleast 72 hours before your appointment. (This includes vitamin e and fish oil supplements. Please do not drink alcohol or caffeine the night before, or the day of your microblading appointment. Super important: Avoid excess sun exposure and TANNING BEDS 30 days before as well as after your appointment. Please do not book a microblading appointment if you are currently sunburnt. Take extra care to use an spf (after brows are fully healed) to protect from excessive and uneven fading.
