I’ve been a salon professional for almost 20 years. I’m a self taught specialist of naturally curly hair and 80% of my clientele are people with a variety of types of curl ranging from kinky to wavy.
I excel in corrective cutting and color of all textures.
I’m skilled with all kinds of short haircuts both men’s clipper and woman’s pixie shapes.
I’m highly trained in consulting clients appropriately in order to give guests what they want.
I strive to be the best at not only educating my salon guests about their own hair but also it’s limitations due to the science of hair.
I believe your hairstyle should match your lifestyle and I like to help to create a style and routine that best suits a clients specific textures.
I’m very mindful of very fine haired guests due to how easy it is to have things go south on a more delicate fabric of hair.
All of my years with curly haired guests have bestowed upon me the ability to really examine hair growth patterns and curl patterns as well as the diameter of the individual strand. Luckily this has strengthened my hair problem solving skills for all textures, including straight hair as well because I’m not curl exclusive.
The biggest thing, is that.. I care a great deal about the work I do. And I care about how my guests feel, because hair... for many is wrapped up in the way it makes us feel as well as the way we perceive ourselves.
So when your an entrepreneur you get to be, or strive to be the business that you want to deal with out in the world. And I want to work with people who care, who are kind and considerate and consistent. I’m a very frank and honest person, what you see is what you get and I prefer to do business with people who keep it real and appreciate my candor.
Besides owning two other salons and this current transition into Salon Apothecary 2.0 at Sola Salon’s, I’m a mom, a wife, and a citizen of the world & I care deeply about my community.
I collect rocks, I’m an artist, I love to make things with my hands, I love to brainstorm about new ideas, I’m a magpie for anything shiny that catches my eye, and I love love love design and mapping it all out in my head.
I love unique things like antiques, genuine art, and poetry. I love learning new things and conquering my fears. I love to teach and be taught! I love people and what makes them tic. I love connecting with people and genuine conversations.
And not to sound super mushy but I really love being a mom and a wife. Balancing all of this is a challenge because I like to do everything 100%. But I wouldn’t miss any of this for the world!
