About April Greene

Welcome to The Hair Lab! 




My name is April Greene and I'm a Lexington native who has a love for science, the arts, and community. I attended the School for the Creative and Performing Arts from 4th grade through 12th grade with a double major in visual arts and modern dance and I followed my love for art by attending Barrett's School of Hair Design in Nicholasville Kentucky where I turned hair into my canvas. 



I have almost 10 years of experience as a hair stylist and am dedicated to continuing my studies in the sciences of hair and the art of creative design. 





I'm thorough and passionate in what I do. It's important to me to spend a lot of time talking with each client to make sure they feel heard and that their needs are met.  Each individual has a compIetely unique set of needs and it's my job to ask the right questions and to use my knowledge and experience to educate each peron about their hair.  I truly believe that all hair is beautiful and I'm here to help that hair do what it does best! 



We'll discuss what your lifestyle is, and what styles you love the most. I will assess your color palette (hair/skin/eyes), the texture and growth direction of your hair, and your scalp and hair condition (dry/oily/normal). I can make recommendations for colors, haircuts, styles and products that will work best for you.



My schedule is mostly booked in advance by appointment but I'm always excited to meet new people. For those who have a flexible schedule or have off days during the week, you're in luck because I may have an opening for you at a phone call's notice. For those who work 9 to 5 during the week and would like an appointment during the evening or on weekends, cancellations do come up every once in a while and I may be able to get you in too. Feel free to call, text or stop by the salon to book an appointment.



Cancellation Policy

I politely ask that my clients give at least a 24-hour notice if they need to cancel an appointment. Having as much notice as possible is helpful and it allows others the opportunity to take that spot. If cancellations are not made more than 24 hours before an appointment, there will be a 50% charge of services cancelled. Clients who no call/no show are responsible for 100% of services booked.
