I’ve been interested in art since I was a child, but especially skin art as soon as I learned about tattoos. I have my bachelor’s degree in studio art from the University of Louisville. I started tattooing at a shop in 2009 and in 2021 ventured out on my own to open my own private studio, Moon Poppy Shop, LLC, here at Sola Salons! I mostly specialize in floral and nature inspired pieces. I absolutely love colorful pieces but I also enjoy the subtle beauty of black and gray pieces. Outside of tattooing, my love for flowers and nature come to life in gardening and hiking, especially with my husband and young son. I love to dig in the earth and watch the (sometimes literal) fruits of my labor come to life. I also use a lot of the herbs from my garden to make the Intention setting candles, bath soaks, and scrubs available in my studio and on my Etsy shop, MoonPoppyShop.
