"People do business with people!" One of the ways I've always built my clientele is by referrals. I feel a referral speaks for itself. When I meet a client for the first time, I want to learn all about them. This involves their lifestyle; which can include their job, their home and family and what they like to do for fun. From there I work with them to help decide on a color and/or haircut that will best suit their lifestyle as well as be affordable to maintain. I would be doing my clients a disservice if I sent them home with a style that did not meet their expectations. Keeping that in mind, we need to understand what time and tools will be necessary to use at home or when traveling to maintain their hair style. One of the ways I keep up on the latest trends and styles is through continuing education courses. By attending classes periodically throughout the year keeps me in the loop with the latest technology. It also provides me with the knowledge of what is up and coming so that I can then pass that along to my clientele. Throughout the years I have been blessed to have taken courses in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and on a couple occasions while traveling abroad in Europe. It's always a great learning experience speaking with other salon owners. I seek out Goldwell Salons, which are not only nationwide but worldwide as well.
