About Lauren Cole
Hello, I’m Lauren. Thank you for visiting my site! My passion for hair goes back as far as I can remember. You could say I was born into the business -- my mother was a hairstylist and although she stopped doing hair professionally before I was born, there was never a shortage of “kitchen hair” in my childhood. By second grade, I knew I wanted to be a hairstylist and, very luckily, I had a "hair village" to help me fulfill my dream. I attended O’Briens School of Cosmetic Arts in Burlington, VT, After school I completed a six-month apprenticeship under a master stylist at Lake Shore Hair in Colchester, VT. In September of 2008 I decided to leave the cold behind and trade the snowy mountains of Vermont for the sandy beaches of North Carolina. Once in Wilmington, I was fortunate to find a salon that I called home for almost 8 years before I decided to take a leap of faith and create my own brand: Lauren Cole Hair, LLC. Continuing my education has been a top priority in my career. I have attended countless hair conferences, and taken classes with some of the industry's top educators, including Sam Villa, Candy Shaw, Nick Arrojo and Chris Baran. Additionally, I am a DevaCurl Certified Stylist and a Goldwell Master Color Specialist, and I'm certified in many hair extension methods, including JZ Styles & Co. beaded wefts.
