Liz, of Emerson Knox grew up in the small, rural town of Knox, PA and spent most of her adult life in Pittsburgh before a brief stint in Louisville, KY, and most recently, Maryland. Liz was always told by family and friends that she should become a stylist but instead decided to get a Bachelors Degree in PR/Advertising. After working for several years, she took a leap of faith, quit her job, and became a hairdresser. The rest of the story has been a decade-long journey of dilligent work, starting over in multiple cities, and countless learning experiences.

Along with some extremely talented mentors, Liz has trained with some of the best brands in the industry...Vidal Sassoon, Kerastase, Bumble & bumble, Oribe, Goldwell, and Joico to name a few.

Currently, Liz resides in Columbia, MD. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and her Silky Terrior, Penny, exploring new restaurants, sipping good wine, true crime documentaries, and working out.
