Hello! I am Monique, the owner of Muse Hair Salon. 

I started my career with the Yamaguchi family back in 1997 at the La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs. From there my training and education molded me into a pure cosmetologist focused on making my clients not only look good but feel good.

I moved to San Diego, CA in 2000 and started working for Young Attitudes Salon in La Jolla, CA (in the heart of San Diego). After about 2 years or so we became an Aveda concept salon and focused all of our efforts on the Aveda message and their award winning products. After about 8 years with Aveda, I decided to start Muse Hair Salon. 

Back in April of 2007. Located in beautiful Bird Rock in the heart of La Jolla I finally found good home to do what I love. With 13+ years of experience. I have been privileged enough to attend Aveda Academies in London, Milan, Minnesota, and New York. I feel that it is important to provide my clients with a healthy and comfortable atmosphere by using natural and organic products.

I specialize in color, cuts, and style for both men and women. My experience with Aveda, Goldwell, and other beauty products has allowed me to continue to make my clients feel special when they leave the salon.
