About Nicole Tompkins
I started my career in the salon industry in 1999 as a color specialist with Rocco Altobelli, specializing in hair color and texture services. I made a move to the twin cities area in 2005 for a really great opportunity with EQ-Life as their lead colorist. Assisting with creating salon processes, technical training and education with salon stylists. EQ life closed their doors & I went on to work independently. Learning the business side of things, and also bringing in the art of cutting and styling. This allowed me to complete my visions for my clients looks. I ended up loving the business aspect and that brought me to starting my own studio salon, La Bella Mia, within Sola Salon Studios in 2009. In 2015 I started working with wigs and hairpieces, ordering & customizing systems to fit clients hair loss needs. Learning to maintain their systems quality & style. In early 2018, I trained in Chicago with Jon Renau, becoming certified through their CORE masterclass. Learning everything from the client journey, marketing, customizing and servicing. This has become an incredibly rewarding, challenging & educating part of my business that I love more than I thought I ever thought I would!
