A five year old girl applies makeup to her cabbage patch doll. While most girls are content to have tea parties, Rose Austra started practicing makeup. By age eleven, instead of music posters, she had a wall lined with face charts on which she tried different makeup looks. Her early interest in makeup was encouraged by her mother who worked for Chanel and her first makeup job was during high school at Elizabeth Arden. Rose has extensive experience with hair and makeup having worked at Siren Salon for ten years. Working at the salon gave her opportunity to work with bridal, editorial, and make up for TV and film. She studied at Vancouver Film School in the Makeup for Film and Television program where she was selected to represent the school at the International Makeup Artist Trade Show (IMATS). Rose has built a substantial portfolio covering bridal, editorial, and makeup for TV and Film. She is a down to earth creative with a passion for makeup who can put a bride at ease, keep models looking good for a photo shoot, and can keep a film shoot on schedule.
