Sharron has been a Salon Industry Professional since 1992. Her career first begin by earning a degree in Business Administration and continued on to pursue her professional certificate from Dudley Cosmetology University in NC. She then went on to pursue her Instructors license at Dudley Beauty College/Chicago and became the Director of the Continuing Education Department. She trained thousands of cosmetology students in areas of practical and theoretical instruction.

After gaining experience in commission and booth rental salons, she went on to follow her dreams and co-owned The Abyss Salon Chicago’s South Loop area. After 13 years of successfully training and mentoring her team members the salon was sold in June 2017.

She continues to practice ‘behind the chair’ (out of her private studio) and at the same time developing her new love and passion of creating content for her YouTube Channel, The SalonCHAT (Est. in 2020).

This project gives her a new inspiration to inspire, uplift, and empower women to embrace their gray hair one strand at a time with style and confidence. Her Go Gray Be CHIC brand is reaching women locally, nationally, and globally through her video content, branded GGBC Apparel and her private community on Facebook (Grown Girls Go Gray)

Sharron is NOT just a Hairstylist. She is multi-faceted and multi-talented! She takes pride in customer care and creating a professional no-wait’ salon business and creative zen like environment.

Although she loves her own time and space…She continues to inspire and encourage anyone she comes in contact with (clients, subscribers, and other beauty industry professionals).
