I started my career in the beauty industry in 2008, when enrolling in my local beauty school. I’d always done my friends’ hair in high school and figured it would be a good way to earn money while figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. Along the way, I found that I loved the art and creativity behind it more than I ever dreamed I would, and didn’t want to do anything else. I worked for an Aveda salon while in school, and was able to find another Aveda salon in Greenville when moving to the area in 2009. I built an incredible clientele during my time there, but always knew I wasn’t cut out working 9-5 for someone else. I come from a large, Greek family full of entrepreneurs and was itching for my chance to be a business owner, myself. In 2013, I made the scary decision to leave the Aveda salon and start ‘Studio Athena’ inside of Artistic Cutters Salon. After almost 6 years of growing my business there, I discovered Sola Greenville. I had out-grown my current space and was ready for a fresh start in a beautiful, new space, and couldn’t be happier where I am now!
