She lived a few places in Iowa [ including Mason City for an AA degree at NIACC , Ames for a BA in Fashion Merchandising at ISU + DSM for her first big girl job at JCP ]. In 2013 she finally left IA to move to ATL with a friend + then relocated to Birmingham, AL for a job promotion. The job didn’t fill Sunni’s cup so she opted for a change + packed up her belongings in a trailer + drove from AL to Prior Lake in order to move in with her cousin + his family. That’s basically how Sunni ended up here in 2014 + started Beauty School 6 months later. FUN FACT: Sunni started her first job here at the MN State Fair [ MN Wine Country ] only 2 days after she moved! Exclusively a cat owner her entire life, she became dog obsessed this summer after adopting a border collie rescue named Athena [ who was also born in Iowa ]. Sunni adores her pets: the puppy + her moody black cat Milly. December 2019, she bought her first home in South Minneapolis that she shares with her long-term boyfriend Nate, their pets + lots of plant friends. Sunni is into yoga, loves music [ mostly classic rock, alternative + the 90s ], watching Netflix, cold swimming at Cedar Lake, art, all the food [ minus dairy ], nature, morning dog walks, cold press coffee, essential oils, oil painting + self care!
