Sydney Nelson has been specializing in men's hairstyling for the past five years. She has been licensed for seven years, following her graduation from Paul Mitchell the School Knoxville in 2013. She has continued to receive additional training at various salons and in 2018 attended Tigi's men's focus cutting program in New York City. Sydney did not set out to specialize in men's cuts, but fell into it accidentally. She ended up loving it, and made men's styles her focus. She also enjoys shaping beards. Sydney was born and raised in Knoxville, where she still lives with her fiance and pets. She loves dogs (has three) and spends much of her free time pursuing one of her favorite hobbies, yoga. She also loves concerts and music festivals and travel (at least, pre-Covid) and has been accused (during Covid) of being obsessed with masks.
